Requesting a stop and observing its completed result are different steps. A pending operation or a stale page can leave an old status visible. Do not treat the button click alone as proof that the number stopped.
Refresh the number's state and check the operation result before submitting another action. If it remains active or pending, report the request time and visible status to support. Stopping prevents new active billing windows once completed; it does not refund a window already purchased. Do not delete the number to force an uncertain stop to finish.
